St Peter's Life Teen & Edge Catholic youth Ministry
St Peter's Edge : a youth ministry for the RC parish of St Peter's, Bromsgrove meets every second and fourth Friday of each month in the parish centre from 7-9pm. This youth ministry is open to anyone aged 8-13.
If you are between 14 and 18 you can join our Life Teen group which meets every first and third Friday of the month.
Our youth nights are a mixture of learning about our faith through catechesis; looking at how being Catholic impacts the way we live our lives and how we respond in charity; prayer and outings.
We go on retreat annually to Alton Castle, we've had camping trips, pilgrimages, and the occasional trek in the Lickeys with the late Archie, Teresa's Golden Retriever. Noah is still a bit too wild to join us!! We have charity events and our theatre group, the White Dog Theatre Company puts on regular pantomimes and Murder Mystery Nights to raise funds for the group. During Lent we occasionally put on Born for This (by CJM), a very moving musical of the Stations of the Cross.
Our mission is to bring youth closer to Christ, through prayer, liturgy, the sacraments, our example of Christian living, and by faithfully passing on the faith. If you are in 6th form or aged 16-19, you can sign up for the John Paul II Award. Choose Bronze, Silver or Gold, and if you have passed your Gold, you can sign up for the Papal Cross.
We want to get to know you so you have great time and have somewhere to ask any questions you want about the Catholic faith.
Everyone is welcome! Drop by sometime.
Keep an eye out for our Year of Mercy events. Like us on Facebook at Life Teen UK for ongoing updates and blogs.
