Welcome to St Peter's Youth Ministry - Peter's Rock Edge Ministry & First Stone

Peter's Rock, Life Teen Edge Programme

Peter's Rock Life Teen Edge Group: a youth ministry for the RC parish of St Peter's, Bromsgrove  meets every second and fourth Friday of each month in the parish centre from 7-9pm. This youth ministry is open to anyone aged 8-18.

If you are aged 8-14, you can be part of our middle school youth ministry, while those aged 15-19 will meet as part of our high school ministry as well as being offered the opportunity to become young leaders, following completion of the diocesan course, VITAL, and our own in house formation programme..

Our youth nights are a mixture of learning about our faith through catechesis; looking at how being Catholic impacts the way we live our lives and how we respond in charity; prayer and outings. We play a mean game of bowling, have had crazy cycling trips, and we know no fear on rollercoasters :)

We go on retreat annually to Alton Castle and PGL, we've had camping trips, pilgrimages, and the occasional trek in the Lickeys with Archie, Teresa's Golden Retriever. We have charity events and our theatre group, the White Dog Theatre Company puts on regular pantomimes and Murder Mystery Nights to raise funds for the group. During Lent we occasionally put on Born for This (by CJM), a very moving musical of the Stations of the Cross.

Our mission is to bring youth closer to Christ, through prayer, liturgy, the sacraments, our example of Christian living, and by faithfully passing on the faith.

We want to get to know you so you have great time and have somewhere to ask any questions you want about the Catholic faith.

Everyone is welcome! Drop by sometime. Look up the Edge website to find out more about Edge and for cool stuff! http://edgeyouthministry.com/

First Stone meets every fortnight on Sundays from 5.30-7pm in the Parish Centre to examine scripture and to see the world and their won actions through the eyes of Christ, to judge with the eyes of Christ and the act in a renewed Christian way. Come along and allow yourself to be challenged into living a more Christian life; one that is a radical following of the gospel!

Over 18 - then join the diocesan Young Adults group. Meets on every second Friday at St Chads Cathedral for Mass, Meal and Catechesis. All welcome. See 2nd Friday on Facebook for details. Join the March for Life 2013.
